The HorsesOur old faithful Gone'n' Dunnett who has clocked up 13 wins to date and hopefully has a few more up his sleeve for the Racing Club during 2008! A promising unnamed 2 y/o, and a replacement for the recently retired Kennington. The Social SideA very enjoyable day was had by all at our club member's visit to the Weatherbys in Northampton, the HQ of Racing. Members then enjoyed an evening meeting at Kempton. Other events in 2007 have included a summer barbeque, with a trip to Tattersalls during the Winter months and a Christmas party still to take place. The RacesDuring 2006 the club had 45 runs from the 3 horses and appeared the the winners enclosure no less than 12 times and a win from Gone 'n' Dunnett. For 2007, members have already enjoyed 27 runs ~ 2 wins and 6 visits to the winners enclosure! Wins from Gone 'n' Dunnett and Joint Expectations, with Master Malarkey clocking up 2 very close 2nd places, giving thrilling finishes and having only been beaten in photo's. Gone 'n' Dunnett

How to Join the ClubAnnual membership is just £200 (incl VAT) Initially, we are looking for 200 members to cover the cost of 3 horses in training. As time goes by and the Club grows in popularity, we envisage taking on more horses. Membership runs from January 2008 to December 2008 and is primarily an entertainment and not an investment, although members will be entitled to a share in the profits of any prize money won during the year. Badges for race meetings will be allocated on a rota or ballot basis, depending upon demand. Additional badges will be available at a discounted rate. Terms & Conditions of Membership(i) Christine Dunnett Racing ("the Club") confers on the Member (for the duration of his/her membership with the Club) certain benefits associated with the horses currently in training which will be raced in the Club’s name. The benefits are as follows:- (a) an opportunity to follow every one of the horses run in the Club’s name; Badge allocation will either be on a rota or ballot basis depending on demand, but each member will be entitled to discounted entry to any racecourse when the Club has a runner. (b) where available, to receive a share in any of the net prize money won by horses run in the Club’s name in accordance with the terms and conditions herein. (ii) Membership is effective for a maximum period of 12 months from 1 January. (iii) Upon completion of the first 12 months membership period, any Member who decides to renew, will be entitled to a 10% loyalty discount from the full cost of membership. (iv) Prize money won by the horses during the period of membership is distributed equally amongst the Members, at the end of the 12 month period based on a minimum of 200 members There can never be any guarantee of the level of prize money, given that this is dependent on how well the horses perform on the racecourse. (v) Membership is primarily an entertainment. It is not an investment opportunity. (vi) If the Member chooses not to renew at the end of the 12 month period, the membership shall expire. There is no commitment to remain a Member after the 12 months period has expired. (vii) Members will be informed of the Club’s runners and progress of the horses in training via the members section of the trainer’s website, www.christinedunnett.com or our recorded telephone message line. Members who do not have internet facilities can request a printout of the website information to be posted to them on a regular basis. (viii) The sum distributed to Members per specific race is determined by the relative net total paid to the Club by Weatherbys. The only additional deductions from race prize money are costs relating to a race outside of the United Kingdom or any race where an entry supplement is paid. In all circumstances the 12 months membership fee is not subject to any additional requests for payment in relation to the keeping, training and racing of the racehorses, no matter what costs the Club may incur. (ix) Hospitality events linked to a race meeting or stable visit, normally involve a 2 or 3 course lunch + facilities. These are normally offered at cost and are entirely optional. (x) When the Club has a runner, a telephone information line (normal BT – not premium rate) will endeavour to keep members up-to-date with trainer information. (xiii) In view of the unpredictable nature of the industry, no specific guarantees can be made in any respect. For example; whilst the intention is to maintain an average of 3 horses in training. Horses may be substituted at the discretion of the Trainer. (xiv) All decisions relating to the horses, administration, and general management, shall be vested in the Trainer. (xv) Where relevant, changes to the terms and conditions herein, shall be submitted to the BHB (British Horseracing Board) for Code of Best Practice compliance guidance. (xvi) Members wishing to visit the Christine Dunnett training yard in Hingham may do so by prior arrangement. (xvii) Membership is for personal use only and cannot be utilised for any commercial purpose. (xx) Members must be aged 18 or over. (xxi) It is understood by the Member; (a) Full legal and equitable title to the horses referred to are neither owned in part or in whole by the Club and therefore at no time does the Member have a legal or equitable interest in any one or more of the horses referred to above (or any share thereof); and (b) all rights conferred to the Member by the Club are personal to the member alone and may not under any circumstances whatsoever be gifted, sold, assigned, leased, form part of a loan, offered or granted as security to any third parties. (xxii) Members are permitted, under Jockey Club Rules, to back and lay horses (including the Club’s own horses) on Betting Exchanges and with bookmakers. Legal.© July 2008, Christine Dunnett.
